Archer is what I would consider my anchor point in Unreal level design. It was the first map I released online for Unreal Tournament (99), and to my surprise was decently popular in the community. Since then I’ve adapted it to Unreal Tournament 2004, though that never released, and Unreal Tournament 4, which released in its final form in 2016.

The map is designed to be a tight 10 player deathmatch arena with close quarters atriums and constant cat-and-mouse gameplay. It is set in an old fantasy castle atop a mountain, right as the cold winter winds arrive.
The reason I call it my anchor is that it's a design that’s followed me through 3 engines, and allows me to see my progression from where I began to where I am now. It’s for that reason that despite its age, I will keep it in my portfolio.
